Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living (SIL) helps people with disabilities live independently at home. It provides assistance with daily tasks like personal care and cooking, and includes supervision and support around the clock, including overnight. SIL is designed for those who need significant help every day.

Short Term Accommodation

Short Term Accommodation (including respite) helps pay for temporary care and housing away from home for up to 14 days. It’s used when your regular caregivers are unavailable or if you want to experience something new.

Disability Services

• Personal care assistance (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Mobility support (e.g., transfers, use of mobility aids)
• Home modifications (e.g., wheelchair ramps, grab bars)
• Assistive technology and equipment
• In-house respite and respite at CA Care properties
• Case management and advocacy
• Support for activities of daily living (ADLs)

Holiday Stay Farm Respite

CA Care offers a farm stay at Bendemeer, 30 minutes from Tamworth. It includes daily animal encounters, tractor rides, picnics, bush walks, star gazing, and cooking over a fire. Participants can also take day trips to Tamworth to see attractions like the Big Golden Guitar.

Anna Bay Caravan/Camping Experience

CA Care provides a caravan/camping experience at Island Leisure Village, Fenningham’s Island, 45 minutes north of Newcastle. The site includes a caravan with sleeping quarters. Activities include beach fun, swimming in the pool, fishing, BBQs, fires, and four-wheel driving. Day trips to Nelson Bay feature attractions like Dolphin Cruises, Shark and Ray Centre, and the Koala Sanctuary.
